The Internet is abuzz about all the calamities that may befall us in 19 days come this Sept. 13.
Hey, take some solace in the fact that the markets can’t crash on that day—because they’re not open on a Sunday. Anyway, by Sept. 13 there may not be much left to crash!
That the 266th Pope is coming to the U.S. on the 266th day of the year and may birth a terrible policy because 266 days is the typical human gestation period from conception to birth would be scarier if it’s 666 we’re talking about.
The talk about Sept. 23 is that it might be the start of a Jubilee year. It might really help if we emphasize the word might because sources say records for the Jubilee don’t exist. If you accept the premise that Jesus Christ will likely return in a Jubilee year, and we know for Bible fact that He won’t be coming back for at least 3-1/2 years because prophesied events have not started yet, then do you believe that this world can hold on for another 50 years! I won’t be one thinking “my Lord delays His coming.”
Then there’s the dreaded 4th blood moon of Sept. 28—and a Super blood moon at that. All I can say is that the other three have come and gone. I didn’t even see them. And so far, thank God, we’re still here.
The real news about these three dates is that they involve God’s holy days which reveal His plan of salvation (Leviticus 23).
Sept. 13 begins the Feast of Trumpets at sunset. This holyday pictures the seven trumpets blown in Revelation that constitute the Day of the Lord—the last year of the 3-1/2 year periods. Could the seventh trumpet possibly be any more significant—its sounding signifies the pivotal point of human history:
- The saints are resurrected to eternal spiritual glory—first the dead in Christ and then those still alive. They are the first fruits of God and will be in the first resurrection which is a better one because they are firstborn to receive a double portion and become the Bride of Christ.
- At the right moment determined by the Father, they will ride on white horses with Christ as He comes down to stand on the Mount of Olives and punish the rebellious and wicked who will gather to fight against Him, thinking He is an invading alien.
- The kingdoms of this world become the kingdom of Jesus Christ (Revelation 11:15).
- Judah and Israel from all around the earth are coming to the holy land in a second exodus that will make the first one forgotten (Isaiah 27:13).
Sept. 23 is the Day of Atonement. That day pictures Christ putting away Satan and his demons for 1,000 years.
Sept. 28 begins the Feast of Tabernacles. Christ and the saints now made kings, priests and judges usher in the millennium of peace and restoration of all things.
So while there could be bad news coming, for sure Sept. 13, 23 and 28 involve God’s holy days coming with the best news anyone could understand. That’s what we should be all excited about!
