How You Can Help Reach All Nations!

This is the 667th post in 10 years of publishing. What a joy though sometimes it seemed a little Beastly! Actually a lot of posts got removed after they were turned into the 20 eBooks offered free below, so the total was probably more like 800 posts.

Above the world map at the bottom of each post, it says “Thank you for sharing this with friends and family in 156 countries.” Actually it’s now 160 countries but I haven’t taken the time to update the map for just the addition of four more pins.

I made a list of the nations yet to go, and have been praying for about a month about the list each day, telling God how encouraging it would be to add all the rest of the countries. In that time, only one country has responded. You see what we’re up against, and I say we’re because I’m hoping you will help. You would think all countries would have at least some underground accessibility to the Internet. For whatever reason these 30 countries have not yet responded.

Why does reaching all the nations matter? “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come” (Matthew 24:14). Of course, the efforts of the combined spiritual Churches of God may have reached all of the nations. I’m banking on you having an urgency from God to take part in this Great Commission! That’s why we’re called to God’s Early Crew. The end is coming, and it sure feels like pretty soon! The answer to everything is not Stephen Hawking theories but the Kingdom of God and His righteousness coming at the return of Jesus Christ!

Here’s my list best as I can determine it (look them up and learn a little geography!):
North America—Greenland
South America—Paraguay, Uruguay
Africa—Mauritania, Mali, Niger, Chad, Somalia, W. Sahara, Central African Republic, Burkina Faso, Eritrea, Somalia
Middle East—Syria, Yemen, Iran
Asia East—North Korea
Europe—Belarus, Armenia, Lichtenstein, Monaco
Stan countries—Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ubekistan, Kaznakstan
Big islands—Palau, Federated States of Micronesia, Kirbati, Tuvalo, W. Samoa

Would you help me pray that this blog can reach them. Would you know anybody in those countries where you could urge them to read or, better yet, subscribe?

I highly recommend you first read “Building the Family of God,” the first one on the list for a good reason. This one gives you the plan of God, your purpose for living, and understanding of the complete Bible. Yes, it’s 179 pages and we have such short attention spans now, and don’t read like we should, but could anything be more important than knowing—and living—this knowledge! Readers are leaders and you could be one of God’s!

I hope you can’t resist the temptation to read all of these!

The Best 2024 Resolution to Begin Right Now

Begin a daily Bible reading program for the year. Along with the specific chapters for a particular day, if you really want to go above and beyond to know God’s Word, read United Church of God’s Bible Commentary for the Old Testament books. Here’s the link: https://bible.ucg.org/bible-commentary/default.aspx

Following the Bible Commentary along with your Bible will astound you with how much more you will get out of your daily study! Trust me on that one!

It will take determined effort. I’ve been thrilled to start a few times but never made it all the way in tandem. I’m off to a good start and I intend to finish! Plans are to eventually offer a New Testament Bible Commentary and I’m eager for that!

Truth was missing on all fronts for 2023 and looks to be pretty elusive for 2024, except that “thy Word is truth” John 17:17. God’s Word is our lamp for 2024 to guide our way (Psalm 119:105).

A Bible reading program is easy to find

My Scofield New King James Bible has a Bible reading program in the back, and I am following it. So does my New Living Translation so I’m guessing most Bibles offer one. The Internet offers various kinds, and you could follow one that puts the Bible in chronological order rather than normal order. Job is thought to be the oldest book, but somehow it just seems that honor should go to Genesis which means “beginnings.” Of course, John 1:1 about God and the Word is older than Genesis 1:1. But all those “in the beginning” are trumped by the fact that God and the Word had no beginning!

All that should tell you that aiming to read the entire Bible through in one year means you are in for surprises! Right out of the gate, surprise! God’s new year begins in 2024 on April 9. And God has explosive words about pagan days in places like the last verses of Deuteronomy 12.

Reading out of the NKJV is highly recommended over reading a modern translation because the King James Version and the NKJV are best for doctrine, history and accuracy. Avoiding thou’s and begats is nice but Bibles making things sound more spiffed up and catchy to modern ears often take unwarranted liberties.

Last year I opted not to follow a Bible reading program, and though I read the Bible every day, I began to realize that there are parts of it that I haven’t read in a long while. I was concentrating on daily reading of the Psalms, Proverbs and Deuteronomy. So I’m really looking forward to refreshing myself concerning the likes of 1 and 2 Kings, 1 and 2 Chronicles, and the Minor Prophets.

How can we live by every word of God (Matthew 4:4) unless we know every word of God?

As you read through every word of God—and hopefully every word of the Bible Commentary—resolve to live by every word of it.

Jesus Christ is the Living Word and the written Word of God. He was the God Being who inspired every word of the Bible (2 Timothy 3:16-17) and He lived every word of it while a human on earth to set us the example.

We want the mind of Christ! (Philippians 2:5). We want to bring “every thought into subjection to the obedience of Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5).

All glory goes to God the Father and Jesus Christ, but their consistent message from cover to cover—from Adam and Eve to Revelation 22—is that They give grace—favor and all good things—only to those who obey.

The Bible begins with the Tree of Life in the Garden of Eden, representing God’s Holy Spirit, and ends with the Tree of Life in a Garden-of-Eden-like New Earth.

Profound for each of us, God the Father and Jesus Christ live in us through the Holy Spirit, and we will be resurrected to Spirit God Beings in Their eternal family and Kingdom!

Several are advising us to read more books this year and watch less television and movies.

Let’s make that the Bible!

And the free eBook below “Building the Family of God” covers the entire Bible in only 179 pages.
